WELCOME TO DACHSHUND PUPPIES HOME

We are a small Miniature Dachshund Breeder that breeds healthy, top quality AKC Miniature Dachshunds. Our puppies have a variety of colours, ranging from Black, Cream, Reds, Chocolates and in Dapple and Piebald. We are co-owned by a Veterinarian. The health of our dogs and puppies is very important to us. We work very closely with our veterinarian to keep all of our puppies healthy and all of their booster vaccinations, worming, and health checks are up to date.

All Our beautiful Doxies and their puppies are treasured members of our family. We never cage our Adults and they enjoy a home specially designed for their upbringing. Our facility(home) is temperature controlled and they can roam about freely. Our little angels are provided with a wide variety of food consisting of great quality, and prepared with lots and lots of Love. We also test for PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) and NCL (Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis), which are two genetic disorders that can cause blindness and seizures respectively in this dog breed. We have genuine love for this breed and so we always make sure we pick the healthiest parents for our breeding so as to provide families with healthy and loving companions for their homes.

More about this breed

Dachshund Personality: The Dachshund is described as clever, lively, and courageous to the point of rashness. He’s bred for perseverance, which is another way of saying that he can be stubborn. Dachshunds have a reputation for being entertaining and fearless, but what they want most is to cuddle with their people. For many Dachshund people, this characteristic outweighs having to deal with the breed’s insistence on having his own way. The Dachshund personality can also vary with coat type. Because the wire-haired Dachshunds have terrier in their background, they can be mischievous troublemakers. Longhairs are calm and quiet, and Smooths have a personality that lies somewhere in between. Some Mini Dachshunds can be nervous or shy, but this isn’t correct for the breed. Avoid puppies that show these characteristics.

Feeding: Recommended daily amount: 1/2 to 1 1/2 cups of high-quality dry food a day

Grooming: The Smooth Dachshund’s coat is short and shiny. Dachshunds are a low-maintenance breed. They shed, but not excessively. Dachshunds require regular brushing, and they’ll need to have their coats “stripped” two to three times a year to look their best.

Size: Dachshunds are bred and shown in two sizes: Standard and Miniature. Standard Dachshunds of all varieties (Smooth, Wirehair, and Longhair) usually weigh between 16 and 32 pounds. Miniature Dachshunds of all varieties weigh 11 pounds and under at maturity.

We want to hear from you

Please become our family. We love our dogs, and place them into great homes. If you have a great home, love and care that these babies deserve, please contact us. Dogs are as lovely as the love we give them. Also, if you know of any stray dogs, we will be happy to re-home, train and bring them up, just let us know. We are waiting to hear from you.

Our Methods/Ethics

We have the parents of every puppy on the premises. We stand behind every puppy we raise and expect to be a resource to their new owner, both before and after the puppy goes to it’s new home. Whether your experience with the dogs goes back many years, or if this is your first puppy, we are glad to help you with any questions.

Our Goal

Our primary objective is to breed Dachshund that will meet and exceed the standards in terms of temperaments and to be amazing family pets. We make them our pets first thus allowing them to live in our home with our family and kids. They will not be going for their expensive prices as we all know how costly they are. It is our goal as a breeder to produce puppies that are sound in both body and mind, while maintaining the outstanding temperament each of their respective breeds are so well known for. We have carefully chosen each of our Purebred Parents to ensure they are from quality, healthy lines with consistent beauty.

Affordable Prices

As a family business, our driving force is not monetary gain (though it keeps us going). We believe animals cannot and must not be sold. Just like our human babies, puppies cost almost nothing to breed (except for the food and vet bills) so the colossal prices you will notice everywhere are most often set by individuals for their own gain. What we charge “Sell them for” is simply a minimal cost to cover all expenses incurred during the breeding process and to enable us to continue breeding even more beautiful puppies so as to continue spending the joy that comes with having a furry friend
